Calculator data
Website calculations run in your browser. Saved setup names and grading rules use local browser storage. When you save a completed anonymous paper, GradCal requests a fixed same-site URL so aggregate completions can be counted. The URL contains no score, student information, calculator input, cookie, account, or custom identifier. Like other web requests, the server access log can temporarily include the time, IP address, and user agent for security and aggregate measurement; these logs rotate daily and are retained for up to 14 rotations.
Student information
GradCal does not provide fields for student names, IDs, emails, school names, or class rosters. Avoid entering personal information in setup labels or exported filenames.
Advertising
GradCal plans to use Google AdSense in one labelled banner. Google and its advertising partners may process cookies or local storage, IP address, device information, and ad interactions to deliver, secure, measure, or personalize advertising, depending on your region and choices.
Your ad choices
Where required, a consent-management message will offer Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options. Declining personalized advertising may still allow contextual, non-personalized, or limited ads. You can reopen privacy choices through the consent controls when advertising is active.
Exports
An anonymous CSV may contain paper sequence number, earned points, possible points, percentage, and letter grade. You control the downloaded file and where it is shared.
iPhone app and purchases
GradCal for iPhone stores templates and anonymous grading sessions on the device. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and entitlement information for annual and lifetime access. GradCal does not send student grading data with purchase requests.
Retention and control
Browser data remains until you clear site storage. Native local data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Files you export are controlled by you, your device, and any destination you choose.
